A Look at Quility’s Corporate Giving and Charitable Riders

Quility gives back with local non-profit

Did you know Quility is an award-winning insurtech company with a commitment to philanthropy and community outreach? Founded and headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, Quility strives to empower the people and communities that have allowed it to flourish. Believing good growth comes from healthy roots, Quility chooses to contribute nearly eight figures annually to local and regional vendors, charities and non-profits.

Read on to learn about some of the inspiring organizations Quility supports through both service and fiscal donations. And see how purchasing life insurance through Quility can put you in the charitable giving seat (at no additional cost!).

Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of America aims to grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illness. In 2022, Quility held its third annual fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina. In just one hour, more than $160,000 was raised via virtual auction.

Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity

Founded in 1983, Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity was the first Habitat affiliate in North Carolina. Through Habitat homeownership and home repair programs, more than 2,100 adults and children in Buncombe County have achieved the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better future. To date, Quility staff members have participated in two Women Build events and corporate donations have paved the way for deserving homeowners (like Melvin!).

Asheville Humane Society

Asheville Humane Society (AHS) is a local nonprofit that serves as the only open-intake animal shelter in Buncombe County. Since 1984, AHS has stayed committed to saving and protecting as many animals as possible—a mission that’s easy for Quility (and its animal-loving staff) to get behind!

Bounty and Soul

It’s hard not to be inspired by the incredible work of this non-profit and their vision to create communities where everyone has access to nourishing food. While the organization houses multiple initiatives, Quility has partnered most closely with their Produce to the People™ program which provides equitable access to nutritious, culturally relevant food through no-cost, weekly, community-based markets.

Charitable giving riders

Riders are “add-ons” that help you customize your life insurance policy. Some riders come at an additional cost, some do not.

Aligning with its aim to serve, Quility strives to incorporate a charitable giving rider into the development of its digital insurance products. What does this mean for you? It means that if you pass away while your policy is active, and your policy includes a charitable giving rider, then the insurance carrier will donate a percentage of the policy’s face value to a charity of your choice (so long as that charity is a registered 501(c)(3)).

By purchasing a Quility-owned product like Quility Level Term, the charitable donation does not subtract money from your death benefit or increase your monthly payments while you’re alive.

To date, $54M in accumulated death benefits has been pledged to charity by policyholders through the charitable contribution component of Quility Level Term.

Give back for good with Quility

Choosing Quility means more than choosing an easy and affordable way to protect your loved ones.  When you become a Quility customer, you become an important part of a for-good company, dedicated to making this world a better place…one policy at a time. Secure your policy (and free charitable rider) today!
