Q&A with Quility Chief Product Officer, Eric Brickman

Product Strategy for 2026

Eric Brickman, Chief Product Officer for Quility, joined the organization at a pivotal time. Tasked with overseeing Quility’s product vision, strategy and execution of intelligent platforms that empower agents and drive distribution growth, his position has a significant impact on the company’s long-term strategy and industry influence.

Brickman started his career at Prudential Financial, where he led multiple strategic growth initiatives within its retail, institutional and digital businesses. As his career advanced, he spent nearly two decades leading Newport (acquired by Ascensus), serving as Chief Solutions Officer and Chief Product & Technology Officer. As one of the founding architects of the company, he helped scale the business from an early-stage startup to $300 billion in assets under administration and nearly $300 million in recurring annual revenue. He has set new industry standards in user experience and integrated product ecosystems spanning retirement, insurance, executive benefits, investment advisory, equity compensation and financial wellness.

Before joining Quility, Brickman was Chief Operating Officer at Candidly, where he scaled AI-powered debt management, savings and financial wellness solutions, driving record year-over-year growth, including a 10x increase in revenue and established strategic partnerships with major financial institutions, extending the company’s reach to more than 35 million Americans.

Bringing more than 30 years of experience, Brickman’s extensive background and rich experience are a perfect fit to lead Quility’s long-term product vision. With his focus on expanding the SaaS-based technology ecosystem, including AI-enabled agency management, sales enablement and digital product capabilities, we asked him to share insights into his role and how the product strategy impacts and aligns with Quility’s goals for 2026 and beyond.

1. Tell us about your role as Chief Product Officer at Quility.

As Chief Product Officer, my role is to help turn Quility’s vision into best-in-class, user-centric solutions that drive growth for our agents, agencies and partners. That means setting product strategy, prioritizing what we build and making sure our technology solves the problems people face every day. My job isn’t just to ship features—it’s to ensure everything we build makes Quility easier to do business with, easier to scale and easier to win.

2. How did your career bring you to Quility?

I’ve spent my career at the intersection of insurance, technology and growth—working with carriers, IMOs, startups and platforms that all faced the same challenge: how to modernize without losing sight of the people doing the work. Quility stood out to me because it combines real distribution experience with the ambition to re-envision how insurtech should work. This role lets me bring together everything I’ve learned and apply it at a company that’s actually building the future, not just talking about it.

3. Quility started with distribution before moving into the insurtech space. How did a distribution background impact how Quility approached technology?

It made all the difference. Because Quility grew out of distribution, we don’t build technology in a vacuum—we build it based on real agent behavior, real market intelligence and real operational expertise. We know what works in the real world to ensure agents can engage with clients and submit business from anywhere and at any time of day or night. That background forces us to focus on practicality, speed, performance, reliability and outcomes—not just flashy features.

4. If you had to describe Quility’s mission in one sentence, what would it be?

Quility exists to empower insurance professionals and our partners with the experience, technology, support and scalability so they can accelerate their efforts to grow sustainable businesses and better serve families.

5. Insurtech is a crowded space. Why is Quility different?

Most insurtech platforms try to replace people or force them into rigid systems. Quility is different because we design journey-based, digital solutions to amplify people. We combine distribution expertise, operational scale and modern technology into one ecosystem so agents, agencies and partners can grow without friction. We’re not chasing trends. We’re solving real problems at scale.

6. What makes Quility’s insurtech offerings unique?

Our platform is built as a true end-to-end ecosystem, covering marketing, sales, engagement, onboarding, insurance services, analytics and insights—while still being flexible and modular. That means users can adopt what they need, when they need it, without being locked into a one-size-fits-all model. Under the hood, we’re building a modern, extensible architecture that allows us to move faster, integrate smarter and continuously evolve alongside our business partners.

7. What is Quility working on in 2026 that will have an impact on the future industry?

In 2026, Quility is building the foundation to transform how insurance is distributed, experienced and scaled. We’re re-envisioning our core capabilities into a unified, fully white-labeled Insurtech platform designed for performance, personalization, and adaptability—powering the next generation of the industry. We’re enabling fully personalized, data-driven customer journeys, equipping agents with real-time intelligence, while unlocking new distribution, service and engagement models that blend human empathy and advice with data science and conversational AI. This isn’t just modernization; it’s a shift from fragmented tools to a connected, intelligent ecosystem that drives faster innovation, more efficient growth and better experiences for both agents and customers.

8. What are you most excited about for Quility’s future?

I’m most excited about what happens when great people and culture are paired with great strategy and solutions. Quility has the talent, the vision and the momentum to redefine how insurance businesses are built and scaled. Watching our teams collaborate, innovate and push boundaries, while delivering real value to the field, is incredibly energizing. The best part? We’re still early in the journey.
