On March 11, 2021, Quility was the presenting sponsor at the annual Break the Silence Speaker Series event hosted by Our Voice. Our Voice is an Asheville, North Carolina-based non-profit crisis intervention and prevention agency that serves victims of sexual violence in Buncombe County.

The Break the Silence Series highlights the voice of a national leader, activist or survivor who has worked to improve systems in responding to and ending sexual assault or human trafficking in our communities. This year, the virtual event featured Chanel Miller. Chanel is a New York Times bestselling author of a memoir titled “Know My Name.”

Her memoir was named a New York Times Book Review Notable Book, and a National Book Critics Circle Award winner, as well as a best book of 2019 in Time, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, NPR, and People, among others. Chanel is a 2019 Time Next 100 honoree and a 2016 Glamour Woman of the Year honoree under her pseudonym, “Emily Doe.”

The virtual event also included a musical performance by local musician Jane Kramer.
